Sam Rice

Sam graduated from La Trobe University in 2016. He has also since completed a Masters in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy and a Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning). Having recently moved to Adelaide from Geelong, Sam has always worked in private practice alongside his time working in sports; where he spent 5 years working as a physiotherapist in the VFL (Geelong Cats & Werribee Football Club), as well as further experience in soccer and basketball. Alongside his work at Leading Edge, Sam now works with the Sturt Football Club.
While Sam continues to enjoy working with athletes, he is equally excited to utilise the thorough and innovative physiotherapy approach that he has learned from his time in sports, and to apply this to clients of all ages and physical activity levels. This approach also includes tailored care for your needs, where Sam often utilises his expertise in exercise, yet is also a strong believer in the pain relief that can be achieved through manual therapy.
Sam treats a variety of injuries, aches & pains from head to toe, with a special interest in knee injuries. He also enjoys providing care for pre and post-operative care, and has been fortunate to work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, where he has had opportunities to observe in theatre. After all, it is important to understand the new anatomy post-surgery to provide the best care in physiotherapy post-op.
Outside of the clinic Sam is a keen tennis player as well as a swimmer. He was previously a triathlete, so who knows some cycling up the Adelaide Hills can convince him to return to some racing.
