GLA:D Arthritis program
(Rose Park and Western Hospital)
The GLA:D program (Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark) is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritic (OA) symptoms.
We begin with an Initial Physiotherapy appointment where we get to know your body, assess your hip or knee and collect data on your current functional ability. With this information we can tailor your exercise program to help achieve your goals.
You will attend two education sessions run by a Physiotherapist to teach you about OA, how the GLA:D Australia exercises improve joint stability, and how to retain this improved joint stability outside the program.
You will attend group neuromuscular training sessions supervised by a Physiotherapist twice a week for six weeks. These sessions are designed to improve muscle control of the joint which leads to a reduction in symptoms and an improved quality of life.

Hydrotherapy Classes
(Western Hospital)
Experience the fantastic benefits of performing Physiotherapy-prescribed exercise in water. Exercise in water reduces gravity on the body which may allow you to move more comfortably and more safely than on land.
Our Hydrotherapy classes are held at Findon Swim School on Mondays at 1.30pm and Fridays at 2pm.
To get started please book an Initial Physiotherapy Appointment so we can assess and prescribe your hydrotherapy program.
